Exchange for peace
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. Philippians 4:6-8 KJV
Give God your worries, and He will give you His peace. What a worthwhile exchange! The things that torment you, weigh you down, overwhelm you, and linger in your thoughts and daily life all have a solution: give them to God. In return, you receive something incredibly valuable—freedom from disturbance, freedom from oppressive thoughts and emotions, and harmony in your personal relationships.
We need to be intentional about what we dwell on. We are to fill the “empty space” left by worry with things that are true, noble, pure, and lovely. If a thought isn’t praiseworthy, it doesn’t deserve a home in your mind.
Decree:
I will not be anxious for anything today. I cast every care upon the Lord because He cares for me. Worry has no authority here. My mind is fixed on what is true, honorable, just, pure, and lovely. God is in control of every detail of my life. Amen.
