Focus on the finish line
“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2 ESV
Over time, as you walk with the Lord, you learn something important: if you want to win, you have to stay focused. Don’t look around at everything else. Don’t focus on your problems or what the enemy is doing. Faith doesn’t work well when you’re distracted. The Bible tells us how to live—it says to keep our eyes on Jesus, the one who started and completes our faith. Jesus began this work in you, and He will finish it.
Jesus endured the cross because He focused on the joy ahead. He saw the victory before the pain. That’s how we are supposed to live—seeing ourselves healed, blessed, and victorious even before it happens.
Let go of doubt, fear, worry, stop focusing on the problem, and turn your attention back to God’s Word. If you keep your eyes on Jesus, your faith will stay strong, and you’ll reach the finish line in victory.
Decree:
I am looking unto Jesus today. He is the author and the finisher of my faith. I refuse to be distracted by circumstances. I see the victory, I claim the joy, and I expect a breakthrough today, in Jesus' name!
