Walking in God’s Favor
“Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” -Psalm 5:12 NIV
A young teacher was passed over for promotions several times. Instead of becoming bitter, she continued serving faithfully. Unexpectedly, a new opportunity opened that was greater than anything she had hoped for. Looking back, she realized God’s favor had been protecting her from settling for less than His best.
God’s favor is His gracious hand upon your life. It opens doors no one can shut, gives wisdom beyond your understanding, and provides strength for every challenge. Favor isn’t earned by works—it is received through walking humbly with God.
Even when life is difficult, God’s favor remains. Joseph experienced God’s favor in prison before he experienced it in the palace. Ruth found favor while faithfully serving. Esther received favor that changed a nation.
Decree:
Thank You, Lord, Your favor surrounds me like a shield. Teach me to trust Your timing and walk humbly before You. Open the doors You desire for my life and close those that are not for me. God’s favor surrounds me. I walk in divine opportunities. God orders my steps. Amen
