Commander Self

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”
-Psalm 62:5 KJV

Psalm 62:5 isn’t a suggestion; it’s a command to yourself. When the world screams for your attention—demanding that you worry, hustle, and fix everything on your own—you must speak back.

David wasn’t feeling peaceful when he wrote this; he was commanding his soul to be at peace.

When you anchor your hope in God, you aren’t just waiting for a change in circumstances—you are standing on the Unshakable Rock. Your expectation is no longer tied to human effort, but to the Almighty, the King of Kings, the Lord of all—Jesus.

Decree:
In the name of Jesus, I decree that my soul submits to the peace of God today. I resist fear and anxiety. My expectation is from Him; I will not be shaken.
