Contend for the Faith

“..I want to encourage you to fight hard for the faith that God gave his holy people. God gave this faith once, and it is good for all time.” — Jude 1:3 (ERV)

Nobody is going to hand you your victory on silver platter.

The enemy wants to mess with your mind and steal your joy.
He wants you angry, lazy, passive, and complaining on the couch.
We have to contend (to strive or vie in contest or rivalry or against difficulties) earnestly. That means you don't just sit back and take whatever the devil throws at you. You get a backbone and fight for your faith. Stop being passive. God has already given you the power—but it doesn't work if you don't use it. You can't let worldly compromises sneak into your life. When negative thoughts come, slam the door. When offense tries to take root, bite your tongue and forgive quickly. Nobody is going to fight for your peace for you, you gotta do it.

Decree:
Thank You, Jesus, I am not a passive bystander. I stand firm on God's Word. I protect my peace daily. I contend for my faith. The enemy has no hold over my mind or my joy today! Amen
