Cultivating Inner Holiness

“for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
- 1 Peter 1:16

David was called “a man after God’s own heart,” yet he made serious mistakes. What made David different was his willingness to repent quickly and return wholeheartedly to God.

God honors a humble heart.
Holiness isn’t perfection.

Holiness is becoming more like Jesus every day.

It is allowing God to cleanse our motives, thoughts, words, and attitudes. God is more interested in transforming our hearts than simply changing our behavior.

Inner holiness produces outer fruit.
Today, ask God to reveal one area where He wants to make you more like Christ.

Decree:
Father, search my heart. Remove anything that keeps me from You. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.
I belong to Jesus. My heart is being purified daily. I am becoming more like Christ in every area of my life. Amen.
