Get out of your head
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3
Many of us have become experts at worrying. We can take a small issue and magnify it in our minds until it feels bigger than life. As Joyce Meyer says, the mind is the battlefield—if we lose the battle in our thoughts, the rest of the day quickly follows. Stop trying to figure everything out on your own. Overthinking is just worry dressed up as reasoning. When you feel your thoughts beginning to spiral, pause and say out loud, “No. I cast my cares on You, Jesus, because You care for me.” Then leave it in God’s hands. He’s already taking care of it.
Decree:
I decree that I am done entertaining 'what-ifs.' I choose to stay focused on God’s promises, and I am expecting something good to happen to me today! Amen.
