The Joy Makeover

“A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.” Proverbs 15:13 NIV

Listen, you can try to fake it all you want, but eventually, what’s going on inside of you is going to leak out onto your face. I used to be a very negative person—the "glass-half-empty" kind—and let me tell you, it showed! But the Bible says a happy heart actually heals your countenance. Joy isn't just a nice feeling; it's your strength. The devil wants you to stay "crushed" and discouraged because a crushed spirit has no energy to move forward. But you don't have to sit there and let him steal your joy. Stop dwelling on what’s wrong and start declaring that something good is going to happen to you today!

Decree:
I choose joy today. My heart is filled with God’s peace. Nothing will crush my spirit—I rise above it with Joy because the Joy of The Lord is my strength. His joy shows in my life everywhere I go.
