Peace rules
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” — Colossians 3:15 (NIV)
It is very easy to let stress, worries, cares, or even the opinions of other’s take the drivers seat of your heart. We tend to think that peace is something we have to constantly grasp at or wait for until everything goes right. But Paul said to "let" the peace of Christ rule. The word "rule" actually means to determine and declare authoritatively-act as an umpire—to make the final call. When you feel dis-ease, anxiety, or conflict stirring, that’s time to let go & let the umpire step in. Give God the final say and let the peace of God rule in your decisions and emotions.
Decree:
Thank You, Lord, You are the umpire over my thoughts, decisions, and life. I refuse to be controlled by fear or chaos. I am anchored in the peace that passes all understanding.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
