Running With Your Vision

"Then the Lord replied: 'Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.'"

In the middle of chaotic times, the prophet Habakkuk was anxiously waiting for answers about the future. God’s response was not a detailed schedule, but a command to anchor his focus: “Write the vision and make it plain.”

There’s a difference between entertaining vague wishes in your head and committing a God-given dream to paper. When you document the dreams, values, and promises God put in your heart, you transition from passive daydreaming into active, faith-filled expectation.
If your future is a blurry destination, your steps will be stalled. But when your vision is sharp and rooted in God's truth, you gain the confidence to move forward boldly, even when the final outcome is not yet visible. The ultimate purpose of writing things down is to sustain your heart during the seasons of waiting. The very next verse promises that the vision is for an appointed time. When delays happen, your recorded vision serves as a physical anchor for your faith. Do not let a slow season convince you that God has forgotten you; instead, look at what is written, trust His timing, and keep running your race.

Decree:
I decree and declare that my steps are ordered by the Lord, and my future is secure in His hands. I declare that delay is not denial, and God is working all things together for my good. Amen.
