An Attitude of Gratitude

“This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
-Psalm 118:24 AMPC

Release Complaining. Renew Your Mind. Raise Your Perspective.

Every day gives us a choice. We can immediately look for what is wrong. What hurts. What is missing. What did not happen. What someone else has. What we wish was different. Or we can intentionally look for something good.

Gratitude changes your focus.
The circumstances around you may not change immediately, but when your focus changes, your perspective can change. You woke up today.
You are breathing. You have another opportunity. There may still be problems, but there are also blessings.
Today, do not allow one negative thing to define your entire day. Look again. There is something to thank God for.

Today’s Goal Toward Gratitude
Before you say anything negative today, pause and find one thing you can be thankful for instead.
Keep a gratitude list and write down at least five things

Decree:
Father, Thank You, for opening my eyes to see the blessings around me. Forgive me for the times I have allowed negativity to become my first response. Help me to see beyond what is wrong and recognize what is still good.
Today I choose to rejoice. I choose to look for Your goodness. Change my perspective and teach my heart to be grateful. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today is a gift from God. I will not allow negativity to steal the beauty of this day. I choose gratitude, joy, and a renewed perspective.
