Become Saturated with Favor

“As Jesus grew taller, he continued to grow in wisdom. God was pleased with him and so were the people who knew him.” -Luke 2:25 ERV

Jesus increased. He grew in:

Wisdom. Stature. Favor with God.

Favor with people. Favor and growth went together.

This is where our sponge comes in.

Imagine placing a dry sponge into water. The sponge begins to absorb.

The longer it stays in the water, the more saturated it becomes.

Your spiritual life can work similarly. The more you remain in God’s Word, prayer, worship, and His presence, the more you allow His truth to fill you.

What are you absorbing? If you’re constantly absorbing fear, fear may come out.

If you’re constantly absorbing complaining, complaining may come out.

If you’re constantly absorbing comparison, insecurity may come out.

But if you’re absorbing God’s Word: Faith comes out.

If you’re absorbing His presence: Peace comes out.

If you’re absorbing gratitude: Thanksgiving comes out.

If you’re absorbing His grace: Grace comes out.

And when pressure comes? Whatever is inside you comes out.

 So don’t just pray: “Lord, give me favor.”
Also pray: “Lord, fill me with what I need to steward the favor.”

For the next 24 hours, intentionally fill yourself with:

Scripture.

Worship.

Prayer.

Gratitude.

Encouragement.

Prayer:
Father, saturate me with Your presence.
Fill me with grace. Fill me with peace.
Fill me with wisdom. Fill me with strength. Fill me with gratitude. Fill me with faith. Fill me with Your goodness. Let Your favor rest upon my life, and give me the character and wisdom to steward it well. When life squeezes me, let faith come out. When disappointment comes, let gratitude come out. When pressure comes, let peace come out.

Decree:
I am saturated with God’s goodness. I am filled with grace, faith, peace, wisdom, strength, and gratitude. God’s favor surrounds me like a shield.
