God Meets Me in My Overthinking
“In the multitude of my [anxious] thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul!” -Psalm 49:19 AMPC
Sometimes one troubling thought becomes ten. Before we realize it, our minds are replaying conversations, anticipating problems, and trying to solve situations that have not even happened.
Psalm 94:19 does not shame us for having anxious thoughts. It reminds us that God meets us in the middle of them. When worries multiply, His comfort is still available. His presence can reach the places in us that explanations cannot.
God may not immediately change every circumstance, but He can steady us while we walk through it. We do not have to understand everything before we experience His peace.
Prayer:
Father, You see every thought moving through my mind. You know the worries I speak about and the ones I keep hidden. Meet me in the places where I feel overwhelmed. Quiet the noise, settle my heart, and remind me that I am not facing anything alone. Let Your comfort become more real to me than my fear. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Decree:
I decree that anxious thoughts will not control my day.
I decree that God’s comfort is greater than the worries within me.
I decree that my mind is becoming quiet, settled, and secure in God’s presence.
I decree that I will not carry tomorrow’s concerns today.
