I Give God What I Cannot Carry
“And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.” Philippians 4:7 ERV
Anxiety often grows when we feel responsible for controlling every outcome. We rehearse every possibility because we believe constant thinking will keep us prepared. But overthinking does not give us control—it usually leaves us emotionally exhausted.
God invites us to turn our worries into prayers. Prayer is not ignoring the problem. It is placing the problem into stronger hands.
The peace of God may not always explain what is happening, but it protects our hearts while we wait. Every time worry returns, we can pray again. Surrender is not always a one-time moment; sometimes it is a decision we make repeatedly throughout the day.
Prayer:
Father, I give You every situation that feels too heavy for me. Forgive me for believing that worrying will protect me or change the outcome. Teach me to bring everything to You in prayer. Guard my heart, protect my mind, and fill me with peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Decree:
I decree that prayer is first response, not my last resort.
I decree that God is working even when I cannot see the answer.
I decree that the peace of God is guarding my heart and mind.
