Jesus is in your boat, and you can rest

“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law."
— Galatians 5:22-23 (AMP)

Peace and patience go hand in hand. It’s hard to have one without the other. A lot of our frustration comes from wanting things to happen when we want them to happen. We want answers now, change now, relief now. We want people to grow faster and doors to open quicker.

But impatience truly reveals how badly we want control. Oftentimes, we say we trust God, but deep down we still want things on our timeline. I once heard a minister say, “Patience isn’t just waiting — it’s how you act while you’re waiting.” That stuck with me.

Today isn’t about figuring everything out; it’s about trusting that God’s timing is better than ours. Peace comes easier when you stop fighting for control, and patience keeps you grounded while God works things out in ways you can’t see yet.

Decree:
Lord, I give up my timeline to You today. Forgive me for being impatient and trying to take control. Thank You, for filling me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
