“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law." — Galatians 5:22-23 (AMP)
The devil wants you to be focused on everything going wrong in your life; he wants you miserable. Why? Because the Bible says that the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10) If he can steal your joy, he can steal your strength—a weak Christian has no impact. True joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness depends on what’s happening—good circumstances, financial stability, or people treating you right. But the fruit of joy is a deep, stable confidence that everything will be alright because God is on your side. You do not have to wait for everything to be right to have joy and walk in it. Make the decision to stop complaining. Start your day with an attitude of gratitude. When you choose praise over protest, the Holy Spirit releases a supernatural joy that the world can’t give you and can't take away.
Decree:
I refuse to let the enemy steal my joy, because the joy of the Lord is my strength. I choose an attitude of gratitude today. I trade complaining for praise, and I receive the supernatural peace and power that only the Holy Spirit can provide.
