You can’t give what you don’t have
“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law." — Galatians 5:22-23 (AMP)
Love is the foundational soil from which every other fruit grows. You cannot have true joy, lasting peace, or genuine patience without love. People spend their lives trying to clean themselves up or force themselves to be good, but legalism and human effort will only exhaust you. When you receive God's unconditional love for you, it naturally overflows into the lives of the people around you—including the hard-to-love ones.
Love is not just a feeling. Love is a choice—it is a decision you make to treat people the way God treats you, regardless of how they treat you. You can’t do this in your own strength. Rest in God's love, and let His Spirit produce the fruit in you.
Decree:
I declare that I am loved by God and rooted in His grace. I will let the Holy Spirit produce His fruit in my life. I choose to walk in patience, kindness, and forgiveness toward everyone. I am favored by God and walk in His blessing. Fear, anger, and impatience have no authority over my day. In Jesus' name, Amen!
