Remember What God Has Done

Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits—” Psalm 103:2 AMPC

Sometimes discouragement causes spiritual amnesia.

We forget.

We forget the prayers God answered.

We forget the doors He opened.

We forget the strength He gave us.

We forget the seasons He brought us through.

We become so focused on what we are waiting for that we forget what we once prayed for.

There were probably things in your life today that were once prayers.

Something you have now may have once been something you desperately asked God for.

Today, take a moment to remember.

Remember the person you used to be.

Remember what you survived.

Remember what God carried you through.

Your history with God can become evidence for your future faith.

If He was faithful before, you can trust Him again.

Today’s Goal Toward Gratitude

Create a list called:

“God Has Been Good to Me.”

Write down at least 10 things.

They can be big or small.

Prayer
Thank You, Father, for helping me remember. Forgive me for the times I have forgotten Your faithfulness while focusing on what I still need. Today I remember the prayers You answered and the storms You brought me through. Thank You for carrying me when I was weak. Thank You for protecting me when I did not even realize I needed protection. Thank You for never leaving me. I choose to remember Your goodness.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Decree
I will not forget the goodness of God. My past is filled with evidence of His faithfulness. If God brought me through before, I can trust Him again.
