Serve God Without Needing Validation
“7 Suppose one of you has a servant who has been working in the field, plowing or caring for the sheep. When he comes in from work, what would you say to him? Would you say, ‘Come in, sit down and eat’? 8 Of course not! You would say to your servant, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Then get ready and serve me. When I finish eating and drinking, then you can eat.’ 9 The servant should not get any special thanks for doing his job. He is only doing what his master told him to do. 10 It is the same with you. When you finish doing all that you are told to do, you should say, ‘We are not worthy of any special thanks. We have only done the work we should do.” - Luke 17:7-10 ERV
There are seasons when you may feel like: “Does anyone see what I’m doing?”
You may be praying, serving, helping others, showing up, caring for people, and doing your best—and still feel unseen.
But God sees. Luke 17 reminds us that our obedience cannot always depend on applause, recognition, appreciation, or validation from people.
When your faith is rooted in people’s approval, your emotions will rise and fall based on how people treat you. But when your faith is rooted in God, you become stable.
You can continue doing what God has called you to do—even when nobody claps.
Your value does not come from how much recognition you receive. Your value comes from who you belong to.
Faith Goal
Do one act of kindness, obedience, or service today without needing anyone to know about it.
Let it be something between you and God.
Decree:
Father, Thank You, for freeing me from the need for constant validation. Help me to remember that You see me even when people do not. Purify my motives. Let me serve from love instead of from the need to be noticed. Teach me to find my security in You. I do not need the approval of everyone when I know that I am loved by You.

God sees me. My value is not determined by people’s recognition, attention, or approval. I am secure in who I am and in whose I am.
