Your Circle Determines Your Destiny
"Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character.'"
— 1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV)
The Word of God reminds us negative influence is powerful.
If you stay in an unhealthy environment long enough, it will eventually affect you.
Choosing your close friends isn't about thinking you're perfect and everyone needs to meet that standard. It's about protecting your heart and choosing life. Jesus loved everyone. He spent time with sinners, served them, and cared for them. But the people He trusted most and shared His heart with were those who chose to follow God.
You are called to love everyone, but you don't have to let everyone in your inner circle. Good character is built over a lifetime but can be eroded quickly by foolish company. Protect the soil of your heart by being intentional about who you allow to plant seeds in it.
Decree:
Thank You, Lord, You have given me discernment. I choose to walk with the wise. I am guarding my heart, protecting my joy, and moving forward in my destiny! Amen.
